In 2012, vote Obama. Vote for Hope and Change in 2012. He will end the wars, because wars are created by oil companies. He will close Gitmo, because terrorists deserve full US citizen rights. And he’s already gotten the US out of the recession. We can look forward to even greater strength and growth in the private sector/economy in the coming years.

Not in the science aspect. He did funnel funds for science and research in all kinds of feilds including green tech and did assign great science advisors and heads. So thumbs up to that but I do agree that in other aspects as TYT points out….disappointment.

Obama does disappoint in many aspect (not all) but I have a feeling he is pandering and trying not to stir the pot too much in order to get reelected. Yes, that is disappointing but I do cross my fingers that he will go gung ho in his second term (if there is one). At the same time, Republicans would have done 10X bigger damage.

The one major problem in all democracies is that politicians need to garner donations to run their campaigns. Hence they need to say whatever is needed to be said to gain power. Hence when they gain power they reneg on what they said. This is an old story…like centuries old. We’re the idiots here. Not Obama.
